Diploma of Aviation - AVI50215 (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) and Diploma of Aviation - AVI50415 (Instrument Rating)

This course is designed for Indian students who wish to meet the minimum requirements for the issue of an Indian Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence and complete their Command Instrument Rating training.

Successful students will be awarded an Australian licence and rating and will be able to return to India to complete their licence conversion procedure.

At the successful completion of this course, student will have sufficient flying experience to be able to convert to an Indian CPL when they return home.

This course also meets the requirements specified by many airlines in India for candidates to be considered for employment.

The Aircraft types used in this course are recognised by the Indian DGCA.

Qualifications obtained

  • Private Pilot Licence
  • Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence
  • RT Radio Telephone Operator Licence
  • Diploma qualification
  • Multi engine rating
  • Command Instrument Rating training (including night) – simulator and flight training course

The Pre-Requisites for the course are;

  • A current Class 1 Australian Medical
  • Unless secondary school has been completed in Australia, an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no sub-score less than 6.0 (academic assessment)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Successfully completed Year 12 (applicants will be required to provide a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education) or successfully completed a Vocational or Higher Education qualification of at least a Certificate IV Australian Qualification
