Basair Aviation College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

There are many advantages for a student in choosing an RTO to attend.

1.  We are licenced and monitored by VETAB for quality and effectiveness.

VETAB is the NSW Government department for vocational education.

Because we are an accredited RTO, the NSW government periodically inspects our operation, and ensures we have sufficient capacity to get students through the course on time and to a satisfactory level of quality.  VETAB's licencing and monitoring works in conjunction with the monitoring done by CASA.  VETAB has the expertise to ensure classes are conducted correctly, there is sufficient aircraft and licenced instructors, and that a satisfactory curriculum is followed - just like any registered school.  CASA's monitoring is more concerned with safety and piloting standards.

VETAB also ensures that students are treated fairly, we have a reasonable refund policy and student complaints are dealt with farily.

2.  Your fees are insured!

To maintain an RTO registration, we must have an arrangement to assure any pre-paid fees.  Basair Aviation College chooses to be a member organisation of the Australian Council of Private Education and Training (ACPET.)  Basair contributes each year to a fund which is held by ACPET for the benefit of students enrolled in formal education courses with member organisations.  If for some reason, Basair cannot provide the education that a student has pre-paid, ACPET will arrange alternative courses at no additional expense for the student.  So any pre-paid fees by a student are protected by our membership of ACPET.  You can learn more about ACPET on their website www.acpet.edu.au

Students are strongly encouraged to select a school that is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and that they can guarantee the school has enough capacity and quality in training to graduate diligent students.
