Private Pilot Licence -
International Students

The licence required to fly just for fun is the Private Pilot Licence (PPL).  This licence allows you to fly by day, in fair weather anywhere in Australia.  It is also recognised in most countries around the world.

Basair offers a Certificate III in Aviation course that allows you to obtain a student visa to study for your Private Pilot Licence.  Full details are included in the information package (see below).

There are two stages of training for the PPL - up to the General Flying Progress Test (GFPT) and then navigation training to take you through to the full Private Pilot Licence.
